Okay, so this is a separate issue. Perhaps we can come up with a better
way to handle the dependency problem, but the fact remains that at present
there is no other way short of fighting a losing battle with mailing list
support after the fact, and so people should be using the buildkernel
target if they want their kernel builds to work across upgrades.
