AFAIK a patch to drm_os_freebsd.h by Jung-uk Kim was applied to CVS on december 2nd. I've applied the same fix (changing fuword and suword to fuword32 and suword32) locally and DRI works fine on my Radeon 9250 now. The official patch makes another change, using the *fence instructions for the DRM_*MEMORYBARRIER() macros. I haven't changed that yet, and it seems to work fine without it. Is this a problem?
