Hi Alex --

There may be a more elegant way, but I do this by adding a shell
script to /usr/local/etc/rc.d/.  I'm lazy, so I just made one script
called webservices.sh, which contains startup info for my compiled
versions of squid, apache, and MySQL.  Anything in that directory is
run at bootup.
