This is easy to work around by setting drainwait. The entire machine is freezing, there is no response even on the network ports, and I've never had such problems with THIS card on my home machine, the same problem exists on the 2S1P card, where the sio is socketed. But it is the same type of sio. The cable is a standard modem type, 25 pins one to one connected, and the modem a standard rockwell based one.
