This is likely to be true with most low to midrange equipment from
major consumer electronics manufactures, but it's not entierly true.
I know two hardcore audiophiles with hardware investments over $40K who
have merged their home theater and stereo systems, resulting in systems
that are certaintly no worse then either of the seperate systems.
