Just to let you know: syncing every second in a loop like this: while true do sync ; sleep 1 done doesn't prove to be a workaround -- the system still locks up. I tried this as per Mattew's suggestion in an e-mail on the list. BTW: I'll downgrade to 3.1-STABLE as of aprox. end of April; I'll let you know if it's stable for me.
