Hi,
I remember reading a while back that .au files could be played
through the pc speaker by doing a cat somefile.au > /dev/audio. I
tried this and I get a message saying "device not configured" and
when I try to do cat somefile.au > /dev/speaker I get a "permission
denied" message. I tried to find info about configuring /dev/audio
but could not find anything. Do I need another program to be able to
do this? Can somebody out there please tell me how to configure the
/dev/audio device?
