Hi all, I am attempting to install FreeBSD 4.8 on a brand new VIA EPIA C3E based MiniITX board. HDD is an 80 GB baracudda 7200 rpm seagate. 256 MB ram, CDrom install media. interfacing via KVM (no hassles there) on boot, no problems, kernel from CD loads, install proceeds just fine. on reboot of configured machine however, boot loader screen comes up fine, select boot partition (I have tried a number of combinations), OK, loads kernel OK from HDD. but when the kernel starts to load (e.g. after pressing enter when asked to press enter to load kernel or any other key for command prompt) the screen shows non-random rapid scrolling data - looks like core dump info or something - i.e. it has structure but is too fast to see. KB does not respond after this.... anyone?
