Hopefully no system does that automatically.

I hope you still need salespeople and operators to know what is to be changed :-)

What ever nameserver you are using, configfiles still need to be changed.
You also need to modify the configfiles for the webserver and/or mailserver, so it is up to you if you want to do that manually or write scripts to automate the updates.
So while you are writing scripts to do webserver/mailserver updates, doing nameserverupdates too are no big deal.
