Thanks to everyone who responded.  One problem with the widely given
suggestion was that I didn't _have_ an dos or win95 boot disk.  I did
manage to dig one up, though.  Turns out I had a sealed dist. of msdos
6.2!  Never bothered to open it.

Well, It was dated 1994, you think bill will give me a hard time if I
disagree with his eula?  :)

Who cares.  I actually own more licenses for that crap than I use now
anyway.

Thanks again guys.  It did do the trick.

What I'd like to know is if there is any possibility of getting a
FreeBSD disk that boots and can fdisk the MBR?  I know the code is out
there, but can it all get stuck in one floppy?
