The following reply was made to PR ports/154210; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Royce Williams <royce@tycho.org> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, newgarry@mail.ru Cc: Subject: ports/154210: ports-mgmt/portupgrade 2.4.8_1,2: cross-thread violation on rb_gc() Date: Tue, 28 Jun 2011 13:21:42 -0800 From my non-developer research, this appears to be one of the possible outcomes of upgrading ruby with portupgrade. Since the problem renders portupgrade unusable, you can treat the symptom by manually reinstall ruby\*-bdb: cd /usr/ports/databases/ruby-bdb make clean make deinstall make reinstall For some background information, see: http://blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.rb/ruby/ruby-talk/188996
