My mitac 6120 laptop is now running FreeBSD fine, with one major annoyance: the PS/2 mouse port (and therefore the built-in touchpad) isn't detected unless I have an external mouse connected on-boot. Once the kernel has booted, I can disconnect the mouse and use the touchpad at will. Now, this is extremely frustrating. My question is, is it possible to force the psm driver to detect a mouse? I'm sorry if this is a duplicate mail, I originally posted this and got an error from the freebsd.org mailer-daemon... hope it'll work this time.
