Take a look at dmesg and see if any sio devices are probed.  If they
aren't, put '-c' at the Boot: prompt and configure the sio devices to
match your system's configuration.

If that is OK, then try remaking the devices.

/dev/MAKEDEV cuaa0
/dev/MAKEDEV cuaa1
