I've recently noticed a problem with screen on a bunch of -STABLE boxes with custom kernels from the last few months. It takes up stupid amounts of CPU while doing nothing; FreeBSD xxxx 4.6-STABLE FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE #4: Mon Aug 19 19:25:06 EDT 2002 46750 pir 54 0 2772K 2408K RUN 0:50 94.71% 87.70% screen 46749 pir 18 0 1588K 1136K pause 0:00 0.00% 0.00% screen The problem doesn't show on a 4.6.2-RELEASE box; FreeBSD yyyy 4.6.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.6.2-RELEASE #2: Mon Aug 19 21:57:55 EDT 2002 17414 pir 2 0 2724K 2400K select 0:00 0.00% 0.00% screen 17413 pir 18 0 1544K 1168K pause 0:00 0.00% 0.00% screen I've tried the same screen binary on both systems, behaviour stays with the machine. Any ideas ? P. -- pir pir-sig@pir.net pir-sig@net.tufts.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
