Wow, that's odd. Is there a newer BIOS or embedded controller firmware 
available?

Usually the embedded controller registers get updated when brightness, volume, 
etc changes so this wasn't neccessary until now.

Furthermore, please send me a dump of the Z60M's DSDT offlist:
