>Release: FreeBSD 2.2-STABLE i386
>Environment:
A very recent 2.2-STABLE system. The file
/usr/src/release/sysinstall/help/relnotes.hlp has no version tag.
Therefore I give a md5 sum instead:
MD5 (help/relnotes.hlp) = 6fa9ab94eca22f9063db4d9453f35f69
>Description:
The relnotes mention in the paragraph "What's new since 2.2.2" the
"Support for parallel port ZIP drives as well as a new parallel port
'bus' architecture for devices sharing the printer port".
This statement only applies to 3.0-CURRENT, but neither to 2.2-STABLE
nor to the upcoming 2.2.5-RELEASE. And with the beginning of the code
freeze for 2.2.5 only hours away it is highly unlikely that it will be
introduced as a last minute act.
>How-To-Repeat:
>Fix:
The statement should be removed from the relnotes so that users will not
get the impression that a stock 2.2.5-RELEASE is able to handle
ZIP-Drives connected to the parallel port.
