Attached to a 2940U the filesystem is corrupted within minutes. Reducing the bus speed to 5 MB/S and turning off tagged queueing fixes the problem. W/O the patch, it claims to be capable of 254 device openings -- I would think that's a bit high for an old drive. Anyhow, I replaced the CFP1080S, which itself replaced a dead Quantum drive, with a brand new 4 GB Seagate -- replacing a 2 GB drive with a 1 GB drive caused a host of other problems not related to problem discussed here. :) Regards, Phone: (250)387-8437 Cy Schubert Fax: (250)387-5766 Team Leader, Sun/Alpha Team Internet: Cy.Schubert@osg.gov.bc.ca Open Systems Group, ITSD, ISTA Province of BC To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
