The cable-modem is made by Motorola (AFAIK), it will cost about $500, + $100 for the initial activation. After this the cost is about $40. Glen Foster pointed out this page and I'm sure it's what they will use: http://www.mot.com/MIMS/Multimedia/prod/specs/modemSpec.html So I think I'm saved, and the person who replied had no idea what UNIX is.
