Just an FYI from poudriere-devel doing a jail update after just having
created the 15.1 jail in the first place:

. . .
[00:00:06] Recording filesystem state for clean... done
pkg-static: Repository FreeBSD-ports-kmods has a wrong packagesite, need
to re-create database
pkg-static: Repository FreeBSD-ports-kmods cannot be opened. 'pkg
update' required
Nothing to do.
Checking all packages: 100%
. . .

Looking, 15's kmods_latest_1 and kmods_quarterly_1 last updated on
2026-May-20/21.

(Not that I know of any reason a poudriere(-devel) jail would need
prebuilt kmods in order to build other things. I'm not sure what the
consequences of the above may be.)
