As I recall, support for this chipset had just been added to XF 3.3 when I got my system about a year ago. Newer ATI Rage Mobility chipsets may not be supported in 3.3. I couldn't get anything but 640x480 working when I first installed it: I had to fiddle with the config for a while before I got other resolutions working.
