Just installing what you need can get you down to about 6.5MB with the
stock /etc/rc files working, but that can be stripped a little more if
you write custom rc files.

Find the largest .o that you have, and optimize it. I know that this
is harder than just adding options, but it likely is the only way in
your extremely constrained memory setup.
