I boot into 13.1 BE, again ifconfig reports wlan0 to be connected, while there is no internet access as tested from Firefox. I then opened terminal and issued tcpdump -i wlan0 -w dhcp-issue.bpf -s0, there is one line output: tcpdump: listening on wlan0 link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 262144 bytes. And then nothing echoes back. I tried service start dhclient and it says it's running. I restarted it, stopped and started again, I tried opening sites in Firefox.
