This guy is right, the PS/2 mouse is not enabled in GENERIC.
1st, you need to make sure psm0 is in the /dev directory.
if not do a MAKEDEV psm0
next, you need to reboot and at the boot prompt ('boot:') type '-c'
when you gettin to the prompt type 'enable psm0' then 'exit'
It took me a while to figure that out.
