Here's what it is under 2.2.8: Probing for devices on PCI bus 0: chip0 <Intel 82424ZX (Saturn) cache DRAM controller> rev 2 on pci0:0:0 ncr0 <ncr 53c810 fast10 scsi> rev 1 int a irq 11 on pci0:1:0 The following snapshots fail to find it: 3.1-19990421-STABLE no disks found, no PCI probes done 4.0-19990418-CURRENT gets to visual configuration but no PCI probing. 4.0-19990420-CURRENT gets to visual configuration but no PCI probing. 4.0-19990421-CURRENT after visual configuration, it stops at "rootfs is 2880 bytes compiled in MFS". No PCI probes at all. Doesn't get to visual configuration At that point, I gave up. cheers. btw: this is the new NZ mirror I'm trying to set up. Mind you, we can always run it on 2.2.8. But I'd prefer 3.1. -- Dan Langille - DVL Software Limited The FreeBSD Diary - http://www.FreeBSDDiary.org/freebsd/ NZ FreeBSD User Group - http://www.nzfug.nz.freebsd.org/ The Racing System - http://www.racingsystem.com/racingsystem.htm To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
