Background:
==========
I have installed FreeBSD/powerpc 12.2-RELEASE on a PowerMac G4. I initially had FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE installed, but that kept randomly rebooting.

I switched to NetBSD/macppc and that worked just fine.

With 12.2 released I decided to try again with FreeBSD.

The installation went fine. From the OF boot prompt, I am able to boot using:

         boot hd:2,\ppc\boot1.elf

FBSD will boot up, I can login and use the system as normal. If I set ‘auto-boot?’ to true, I am unable to boot into FBSD.

I have boot-device set to “hd:2,\ppc\boot1.elf”

Is there anything else I need to setup? When I had 12.0 installed it would boot as expected.
