Hi, first of all, thanks for looking into this! It does sound like an
explanation for what I'm seeing. I sadly know little about the internals of=
 the
network stack, but the symptoms seem to fit. Adding an interface leads to a
reproducible drop of connectivity/delay for a few seconds.
