Quick update:

I restarted the machine by force and easily installed 12.0-CURRENT =
without a hitch! Now portsnap refuses to extract packages despite =
numerous force restarts, but who needs it anyway, right? Additional =
issue: Fans will whir into top RPM (about 14,500) until reading sysctl =
outputs of temp/fan, then it instantly decreases to about 2,000 RPM and =
will do the same thing all over again. I can=E2=80=99t download pkg, I =
can=E2=80=99t really do=E2=80=A6 much=E2=80=A6 with so little working at =
the moment. I=E2=80=99ll report back eventually.

despite being able to move the mouse and select text etc., but I=E2=80=99m=
not keen on shutting down the system mid-install. Not to mention, the =
system is running at full blast. Should I go ahead and stop this, then =
try 10.3?
