IMHO, it would have been better to have linux_lib to also install
/compat/linux/bin/uname along with the other binaries. If that returned
"Linux" then there would be no need to hack install scripts.
Incidently, from 1993 onwards, SVR4's uname(1) has allowed an environment
variable to override the OS name so that uname(1) can say it's a UNIX, SCO,
Xenix, whatever.
Incidently, the linux uname() has *never* returned "Linux" before. It's
been the real strings from day one.
