[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi, Sounds like you've either got the motd in /etc (try rm /etc/motd&&touch /etc/motd to make it blank) OR you're talking about fortune. If you look at ~/.login there is a line [ -x /usr/games/fortune... If you try commenting this out it might do the trick. You could also check for other files containing fortune in /etc with: grep fortune /etc/* and then comment those out also. Hope that's been of some help. -lewiz.
