It is an ATA RAID Controller ( as vendor marks ) but it is a very interesting question! :) But FBSD see all four drives attached to it as for different drives ad4-ad7. One disadvantage - both channels use same IRQ line. I didn't configure RAID in it's setup program and use it as a plain two-channel ATA-100 controller. No problems in this scenario. Four WDC WD1200BB-00CAA1 was used. Works fine several months. For RAID functionality ccd(4) was used. Now all drives moved from this card to base ATA channels on motherboard as the same arrays (OS on SCSI drives). Only drive numbers was modified in ccd config file.
