^Triage: this patch seems to mix two different types of changes.

The sendmail code has been changed, most recently, by kevans@FreeBSD.org
in cb99e93575e8f5df7345a0bdb7104ff46fdeec5c 2020-06-02.  (kevans@ Cc:ed)

The +.if ${MK_NS_CACHING} != "no" code (and similar) no longer apply, and
I can't make an educated guess at what to do here.

To submitter: are you still interested in working on this code, or should
we just mark this Problem Report OBE?
