Thank you both for your time and answers. 

Looks like openimageio was not properly updated.

I had to execute:

1- portmaster graphics/openimageio
2- portmaster graphics/blender

to get a functional Blender.

I thought portmaster was capable of resolving all dependencies of Blender by
just doing 'portmaster graphics/blender'.
