It's too bad Linux supports it fine, FreeBSD used to, and >almost every board that comes with SATA uses it. :( Using the same driver, the SiI 3512 couldn't stay up on my FreeBSD 5 machine long enough even to finish fsck'ing the previous crash - I had to change OS to a different *BSD, and even that falls over from time to time. -- Christopher Vance
