That's always worked well for me on FreeBSD in any case. If you can't cvsup, try CTM man ctm with ctm you can get at least all of these source trees maintained daily: /pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/src /pub/FreeBSD/branches/4.0-stable/src /pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/ports /pub/FreeBSD/development/FreeBSD-CVS (& 5-stable when it comes) If you want to grab my scripts I use to receive it: http://berklix.com/~jhs/src/bsd/jhs/bin/local/mail/ (just ctm-freeb sd*) http://berklix.com/~jhs/src/bsd/jhs/bin/local/ctms/ General reading: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/synching.html - Julian Stacey.
