su(1) and login(1) do.  ISTR that sshd(8) does not because of
limitations either in the protocol or in the program's structure (the
details escape me at the moment).

rexecd(8) was a terrible pain to PAMify which might explain (but not
excuse) my sloppy handiwork.

which reminds me that I need to upgrade OpenSSH to 4.0, and fix some
errors I recently noticed in the PAM article...
