Kernel patch to fix regression.

I've bisected the kernel regression and tracked it to r297857:

I've also attached a patch that "fixes" the regression. I'm sure this isn't=
 the
proper fix, but at least now I can upgrade from FreeBSD 10.3.

With this patch, the 10.4 kernel now boots just fine (it did not before). I=
 am
currently building the 11.1 release from source with this patch and will re=
port
back when done.
