With a newer kernel (Aug 28) my qcam0 isn't get probed properly any longer. For comparison here an excerpt of dmesg when booting with the old vs. new kernel on the same hardware: FreeBSD 2.2-CURRENT #2: Wed Aug 28 16:37:55 MET DST 1996 kuku@isdn-kukulies.dialup.rwth-aachen.de:/usr/src/sys/compile/MONKTELES Calibrating clock(s) relative to mc146818A clock... i8254 clock: 1252834 Hz 1252834 Hz differs from default of 1193182 Hz by more than 1% CPU: AMD Am5x86 Write-Through (486-class CPU) Origin = "AuthenticAMD" Id = 0x4e4 real memory = 67108864 (65536K bytes) avail memory = 62746624 (61276K bytes) qcam0 not found at 0x378 :-( lpt1 at 0x378-0x37f irq 7 on isa lpt1: Interrupt-driven port lp1: TCP/IP capable interface FreeBSD 2.2-CURRENT #0: Sun Aug 25 12:45:37 MET DST 1996 root@isdn-kukulies.dialup.rwth-aachen.de:/usr/src/sys/compile/MONKTELES Calibrating clock(s) relative to mc146818A clock... i8254 clock: 1205066 Hz CPU: AMD Am5x86 Write-Through (486-class CPU) Origin = "AuthenticAMD" Id = 0x4e4 real memory = 67108864 (65536K bytes) avail memory = 62750720 (61280K bytes) qcam0 at 0x378 on isa :-) qcam0: unidirectional parallel port lpt1 at 0x378-0x37f irq 7 on isa lpt1 not probed due to I/O address conflict with qcam0 at 0x378 This log btw shows the healing patches to the clock calibration code introduced recently :-) --Chris Christoph P.
