https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=296151 Bug ID: 296151 Summary: [request] bsdinstall(8): detect battery and optionally enable apm(8) Product: Base System Version: Unspecified Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: petercs@purelymail.com I had an idea from a post on mastodon and this (sort of) relates to the laptop desktop working group. When installing, it might be worth checking if a system has a battery and supports APM. If it does, bsdinstall could prompt the user asking if they'd like to enable APM. This would mean a new user doesn't necessarily have to discover apm(8) on their own to improve their laptop battery life. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
