Mike:

As a small computer retailer on the Penna area, I have had the opportunity
to test FreeBSD on several platforms. I have found that out of the systems
that I have tried, FreeBSD seems to be quite content running on our system
with an Intel Zappa motherboard, Connor 1.2gb IDE disk, Maxtor SCSI
(Adaptec Controller) disk, and 16mb RAM. I know this is quite an overkill
for FreeBSD, but I have internal requirements as it's acting as my gateway
to the internet.

On the same token, I have not had the opportunity to test FreeBSD out on
a "name brand" platform.
