Preamble: ALPHA3 is not yet announced, and the schedule at <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/15.0R/>; does not yet show that builds have begun. I might describe things as fast-moving and pleasantly overlapping. The result of an actual (possibly premature) upgrade: <https://github.com/user-attachments/files/22450088/2025-09-21.06-21.typescript.txt>; tl;dr the end result, following a restart, was 15.0-ALPHA3 for the running kernel and for userland.
