There is still problem in the server side which doesn't have a clear solution. when fingerd calls finger, there is no way to set env variable like LC_CTYPE to make finger correctly run desired isprint(). Perhaps there should be a command switch telling finger not to do anything about non-printable characters, which would be useful when fingerd calls finger.
