Has anybody out there had any success running 4.2-RC2 on the above mentioned system ? Particularly using either vinum or SMP support. I am finding that a GENRIC kernel with the two SMP options enabled refuses to boot, and that on a standard GENERIC kernel anything I try to do with vinum results in an immediate kernel panic. I realise that this is not the most useful posting in the world - I do not currently have physical access to the machine and thus cannot give any output messages yet (though I hope to go visit the box sometime next week). Its more of a request to see if anyone else has had problems. The SMP particularly concerns me - is there anything else that neeeds to be done other than enabling the kernel options that I missed in the documentation ? DOes anyone else have 4.3-RC2 running on an SMP machine ? cheers, -pete. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
