Well,
When I started to edit kernel sources to try and
track down my panics... a few compiles later &
*poof* everything was working.
I'll have to attribute this to the "nut behind
the wheel." Apparently, I must have done a
config with some option (likely DDB) on and not
done a clean build... (i.e. didn't do a `make clean; make')
After a clean build - I can't get the panic any more,
and <ctrl>-<alt>-<break> drops me into DDB.
