I think some of the files are made by root privilege, so OOo cannot write as user. First please remove ~/.sversionrc and ~/OpenOffice.org.1.1.2, as root, then go back to user, type % openoffice-1.1.2 and it is sufficient. user installtion starts. Hope this helps, --nakata maho
