You can't even read them?  You can't comment on the ideas?  Wow.
I didn't realize current had that effect on people!     :-)

While I had no time for current yesterday, I know that we'd want to test
these changes on current before committing it to stable.  But I won't
have any time for current for at least another week.  Still, the patch
as it is might be useful to anyone building stable with a debug kernel
over this coming long weekend, so I wanted to post what I had.

That's why I spend a lot of time talking about what the patch did,
instead of simply including the patch and asking people to try it.

So, if people think the basic ideas seem interesting, let me know
if the changes seem reasonable, or if there are some other things I
should think about.  Note that I may not reply until next week, as
I expect to be busy for the next few days.
