I didn't realize current had that effect on people! :-) While I had no time for current yesterday, I know that we'd want to test these changes on current before committing it to stable. But I won't have any time for current for at least another week. Still, the patch as it is might be useful to anyone building stable with a debug kernel over this coming long weekend, so I wanted to post what I had. That's why I spend a lot of time talking about what the patch did, instead of simply including the patch and asking people to try it.
