Hi, I started a make world on my box last night and then proceeded to go to bed. When I looked at my console this morning it had sprung into DDB because of a panic: ffs_alloccg: map corrupted. This panic occured on a box running pretty stable (at least panic less for the last past 4-8 weeks). I got show registers and trace information from DDB and also a crashdump. Now I am wanting to use GDB to get more relevant information from the crashdump. I have the GDB manual here, but could use some advice from people who've done this under FreeBSD before and could inform me of any things that are somewhat obligatory to look at under FreeBSD. If you want I can type in the DDB stuff later this day, but work awaits my presence first. Thanks for any advice. -- Jeroen Ruigrok van der Werven asmodai(at)wxs.nl The BSD Programmer's Documentation Project <http://home.wxs.nl/~asmodai> Network/Security Specialist BSD: Technical excellence at its best Cum angelis et pueris, fideles inveniamur.
