I've deinstalled and reinstalled a few times, and I've cleaned up everything I've found relating to vmware, and still it doesnt work. > > Any ideas? Have you done this: Add following line to /etc/fstab: "linproc /compat/linux/proc linprocfs rw 0 0" And than type "mount -a". It really helped me in this trouble.
