I'm still seeing the "freeing held page" panic and bash clocking up cycles
when starting up X (one died with a SIGILL).  In trying to recompile the
world in case I missed a dependency somewhere, my system got into a state
where a new process would result in a continuous stream of the above
message on the console - it stopped a couple of times when I interrupted
the new process, but after a few attempts I couldn't get back control of
the system...

The last delta I saw was revision 1.73 of vm_pageout.c.
