Hi ... I have the following setup 200 MHz pentium - running FreeBSD 3.0-970713-SNAP 128 MB ram Adaptec 2940UW SCSI controll SCSI disk WD Enterprise HP 4020i CDR When booting the machine the CDR is probed as worm0, I have made a sh MAKEDEV worm0 in the /dev durectory, but when I try to mount ANY CD in the drive it gives me the following error ... # mount_cd9660 /dev/worm0 /mnt mount_cd9660: Input/output error # ???? Any ideas .. I have compiled about 10 kernels, re-installed, the machine changed the SCSI ID's on the CDR, changed the sequence of the disk and the CDR etc. When I boot with a GENERIC kernel, I AM able to mount the /dev/cd0a and read the CD ??
