This will work for both 'unset PAGER' and 'export PAGER='
if (pager == NULL || *pager == '\0')
- if ((pager = getenv ("PAGER")) == NULL)
+ if ((pager = getenv ("PAGER")) == NULL || *pager == '\0')
pager = strdup (PAGER);
